Job Description: The company is looking for a Data Engineer to design and operate the infrastructure for aggregating and analyzing data within the company. 【Overview】 The company has established a company-wide data analysis system that is required for management decisions. The Data and Analytics Section is responsible for two tasks: building the analytical infrastructure and promoting data analysis. In the area of data analysis, data governance in accordance with the security framework in enterprise data is required. In building an analytical infrastructure, they strive for both protection of uniformly managed data at the required security level and fulfillment of business requirements. The analytical infrastructure is used in a wide range of areas, including product, sales operations, finance, and human resources. Through our data analysis work, they provide each department with data solutions using statistical and analytical methods. The Data and Analytics Section has two goals. One is to discover new value in each department that would not have been possible without the thorough analysis of data. The second is to create a data-driven organization that can autonomously implement this value at each layer of the company's management. The Data Engineer in this division is responsible for providing an up-to-date and well-maintained data analysis environment for analysts and data users. He/she will coordinate with stakeholders and develop an understanding of the data for all data that exists within the company. The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining a company-wide analytical infrastructure to prevent the siloing of these data and to stimulate data usage. *This position allows SREs and infrastructure engineers with no data engineering experience to take on new challenges in the pursuit of data reliability. 【Responsibilitiess】 As a Data Engineer, you will build and operate the infrastructure for company-wide analysis and provide an analytical environment that enables analysts and data users to smoothly utilize the data. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks. - Participate in development from the requirement definition phase by interviewing stakeholders together with analysts - Develop data extraction logic and algorithms based on requirements - Design analytical infrastructure that meets requirements for data extraction - Operate and maintain the execution environment for regularly running jobs based on defined non-functional requirements - Develop a data warehouse environment that allows each stakeholder to approach data continuously and efficiently, while taking data sizing costs into account. - Operate and maintain BI and ML tools used by analysts and data users You are expected to proactively communicate with internal stakeholders and work to build a foundation for the utilization of data. Required Skills: 【Required】 - 3+ years of experience working as a data engineer or infrastructure engineer - Experience building analytical infrastructure utilizing AWS or GCP - Experience building and operating workflow management tools such as Digdag, Apache Airflow, etc. - Experience in RDB schema design and operation - Experience using SQL on data warehouses - Experience in designing and operating applications and analytical logs - Japanese: N1 or equivalent 【Preferred】 - Experience with BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or other data warehouse operations - Experience using infrastructure configuration management tools (Terraform) - Experience building and operating dashboards using BI tools such as Looker and Tableau - Experience utilizing data in Salesforce - Experience in solution proposals based on predictive modeling and statistical analysis using Python, R, etc. - Experience in designing, operating, and maintaining ML pipelines 【Ideal Applicants】 - Enthusiastic about changing the world with data. - Highly logical thinking skills. - Able to measure things quantitatively based on hypothesis testing - Able to work proactively with other departments, without building departmental barriers
